Meeting of Souls is a bracelet in the form of a labyrinth inscribed with a landscape representing routes through a city.

When you shake hands with the bracelet’s wearer, many small lights begin to shine. These lights represent the yellow of the windows and streetlights, the red of the roofs, and the green of the trees. As the observer and wearer continue holding hands, the animation navigates the complex, winding city streets from opposite ends of the labyrinth.

If this intimate contact is maintained, the lights eventually reach their climax and unite in a tranquil forest in the center of the maze. The light show stays alive for a period of time following the animation of the bracelet as a result of the handshake.

Tatev Harutyunyan uses the metaphoric labyrinth to compel people to explore distance and time in order to discover an internal connection with one another.
